Innovative Portable Devices to Expand Anesthesia and Respiratory Devices Market

Royal Philips launched its new and small positive airway pressure (PAP) device named DreamStation Go. This device can be beneficial for patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The device is developed to complete travelling patient’s requirements. The product is available in auto-titrated APAP model as well as fixed-pressure continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). Both models are facilitated with Bluetooth and can be linked with Philips’ EncoreAnywhere, which can help user to monitor therapy performance across several devices from one shared dashboard. It can be also united with care Orchestrator cloud-based patient management systems for clinicians.

Factors such as growing elderly population, increasing occurrence respiratory complaints including obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and increasing environmental pollution can propel anesthesia and respiratory devices market during the forecast period (2012 to 2022).

However, high costs of these devices and availability of alternate medications may restrict the market growth during the forecast period.

North America has been dominating the market due to availability of the developed healthcare infrastructure and high awareness among the people.
