According to the researchers, the dressing will be used to fill the wound caused by endoscopic sinus surgery. It can reduce the bleeding and eliminate the chances of scarring. Moreover, gel dressing against uncomfortable gauze bandages may reduce the post-surgical complications, which generally lead to another surgery. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of this gel dressing in hospitals and other medical centers.
